Our goal is to support the improvement of internet penetration, working in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s implementation of National Broadband Plan (NBP 2020-2025) with a target of achieving 70% broadband penetration by 2025. The current broadband penetration in Nigeria is 45.57% as at August 2023.

The digital economy is a key strategic pillar for Nigeria to accelerate its economical and social development and providing access to affordable internet services is crucial to achieving the true potential of digitalization. The boundary between connected and unconnected translates into clear consequences for employment, education, family, social life and access to information.

The World Bank has reported that every 10% increase in broadband penetration could lead to as much as 2.8% growth in Gross Domestic Product.
